When an OKR session begins, it's crucial to keep track of progress and ensure alignment with the established goals. Often, it's more practical to work on broader projects with multiple tasks instead of directly within an initiative. Additionally, there are instances where work on projects or tasks related to forthcoming OKRs has already commenced. In such scenarios, connecting OKRs to projects or tasks is beneficial. - How to connect an Objective or Key Result with an existing project or task
How to create a project or a task directly under an Objective or Key Result
To create a project or a task directly under an objective or Key Result, follow the below steps:
- Click on the Objective (or Key Result) you'll want to create a project or a task in.
- Select the "Related" tab.
- Click the "Add related tasks or projects" button.
- Select whether "Create canvas" or "Create project".
- Fill out the information.
- Click the "Create task" or "Create Project" button.
Notes:
- You can access the projects or tasks you created in the OKRs in the Project tab as well.
- When you are creating a related task, you need to select an existing project that the task will be created in.
How to connect an Objective or Key Result with an existing project or task
To connect an Objective or Key Result with an existing project or task, follow the below steps:
- Click on the Objective (or Key Result) you'll want to connect a project or a task to.
- Select the "Related" tab.
- Click the "Add related tasks or projects" button.
- Search for and select the tasks and projects you want the objective (or Key Result) to be connected to
- Click the "Connect" button.
Note: You can connect more than one task or project at a time.
